What is Ghassoul Clay?
Ghassoul clay is naturally occurring clay mined from chambers below in the Atlantis Mountains in Morocco and that has been used by Moroccan women since ancient times to deeply cleanse and purify the skin, hair and scalp. It is known as by the names Red Clay, Red Moroccan Clay, Rhassoul Clay and Oxide Clay and Ghassoul comes from the Arabic word as “ghassala” or “to wash”.

Where Ghassoul clay is made of? It is formed as a result of volcanic lava, extracted, gets washed, sun-dried and micronized into a smooth powder. It is superior to other clays because it is fine, silky and pale gray in color because of its very high mineral content composed of higher percentages of silica and magnesium along with potassium and calcium with a capacity to remove impurities.

How to Use Ghassoul for Hair:

Mixing ghassoul for healthy hair and skin:
-Place ghassoul into bowl and put warm to hot water over it. Allow to sit for 5 minutes.
-Don’t mix just leave to stand till ghassoul turns to a muddy paste.
-Apply ghassoul to hair by sections starting from the back and moving forward.
-For dry hair, stay it for 5-10 minutes
-For normal hair, stay it for 5-15 minutes
-For oily hair, stay it for 10-20 minutes
For your Face or Body
-Mix ghassoul mud as directed and rub into skin.
-Let it stay for 5-10 minutes
How to store your clay: fridge or cool dark place.
How to store your mud: fridge for up to one week.
